Camping and Farm Rules
Check-in time for the campsite is 2pm. Tents/campervans cannot be pitched before this time.
Please ring the bell at reception for attention.
Please do not erect tents or take cars into camping fields before you have checked in at the farmhouse.
Vehicles must be parked in the carpark and not left on the fields. In wet conditions, unloading and reloading must happen at field entrances and the fields must not be driven on at all.
For the sake of other campers, please inform us immediately of any problem with our facilities (showers, toilets, basins, camping kitchen)
Please do not put loose rubbish in the green wheelie bins. This must be in a bin bag.
Disposing of gas canisters at the farm is strictly prohibited.
Under no circumstances can any unwanted / broken large items be disposed of at the farm. They must be taken home with you such as chairs/tables/barbecues/inflatable beds etc. Charges will apply if this is breached.
You are welcome to use portable and reusable barbeques with stand, but please ensure that they are approximately 20cm off the ground to avoid scorching the grass.
Under no circumstances can disposable BBQs be disposed of at the farm – they must be taken away with you. We usually have some BBQs available to use, please ask.
We have firepits to hire and logs to buy. Please ask at reception. If using your own firepit these must be 20cm off the ground.
All wastewater is discharged to our farmland, so please use environmentally friendly (and biodegradable where possible) products in the washroom/showers, and please use the soap/hand-soap provided.
There is no facility to dispose of portable toilet waste. Under no circumstance can portable toilet waste be tipped into our system.
Please follow the one-way system on the farm and ensure that the gates are closed at all times. If there is a problem with the gate i.e. does not shut properly, please let us know immediately. Please do not swing on any gates on the farm.
The campsite is a quiet campsite. No noise after 10pm and before 730am and no excessive noise at any time.
Please do not climb stone walls or remove stones from them as they are a historic heritage of the farm which have been preserved through centuries.
During warm weather: to avoid midges, it is best not to leave your tent unzipped, and those who are sensitive to them should take extra precautions. If you need midge spray, we are stockists for ‘Smidge’.
When using the campers’ washing-up room after 10 pm and before 8 am, please be as quiet as you can, there may be people sleeping in the camping bunk barn above you.
Dogs must be kept on leads
There is no electric hook up available.
There is a secure bike store with facility to charge e-bikes, please ask at the farmhouse for the combination code.
